THE WESTERN NORTH REGIONAL CO-ORDINATING COUNCIL UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE WESTERN NORTH REGIONAL CENTER FOR NATIONAL CULTURE (CNC) HOLDS CULTURAL DIALOGUE.

As part of activities to commemorate the Ghana Month celebration, the Sefwi Wiawso Office of the Centre for National Culture, organized a Cultural dialogue with some institutions at the Office of the Regional Co-ordinating Council.

The team was led by Mr. Mustapha Issah, the deputy Director of the Centre who in his address during the dialogue session touched on all the aspect of our lives as a people and reiterated that, our culture is embedded in whatever we do, be it in our homes, offices, schools and wherever we find ourselves.

The CNC team visited almost all the Offices and the officers in the offices visited expressed their sincerest appreciation to them for the interpersonal communication approach adopted in getting the message across to and requested that the dialogue should be held frequently with the month of March used to climax the event.

In one of the offices visited, the Regional Environmental Health Officer Mr. Paul Nutsugah pleaded with the Center to work more on the myth surrounding culture to motivate the general public to continue to make delibrate efforts towards upholding our culture.

Other members of the various institutions enumerated gabs  in our system as a country that does not favor the full implementation of our culture such as punishing students for speaking their native languages in schools and pleaded with the Centre to start a campaign to end such unacceptable acts.

In his wrap up, the Deputy Director, participants to see our culture as a  manual with which our lives revolves and that, without our Culture, we cannot be whole. He emphasized that, following our belief system will makes our lives better just like our forefathers.

He admonished all staff to continue in the spirit of the Ghana month Celebration and encouraged the various institutions to patronize made in Ghana products and services, and teach their children to speak our Local languages as it will go a long way to develop the Nation.
