Western North Regional Investment Roadshow (Investment Forum)

The Western North Regional Minister, Hon. Wilbert Petty Brentum, joined the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and other key stakeholders at the Western North Regional Coordinating Council for a Regional Investment Forum held under the Nationwide Investment Opportunity Mapping Project (NIOMP).

The forum was organized to highlight and promote the vast investment opportunities available in the Western North Region, while encouraging both local and international investors to explore and take advantage of the region’s economic potential.

Addressing participants at the event, Hon. Brentum emphasized that the Western North Region is richly endowed with abundant natural resources capable of generating significant wealth and opportunities. He cited key resources such as cocoa, gold, palm nut, timber, bauxite, cassava, avocado, and plantain, noting their strong potential for value addition and industrial development.

The Regional Minister also underscored the importance of the region’s youthful population, describing it as a vibrant and energetic workforce ready to support investors seeking to establish and expand their businesses in the region.

Furthermore, he assured the leadership and management of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre that plans are underway to establish a GIPC office in the region to provide strategic support and investment facilitation for prospective investors.

Hon. Brentum expressed appreciation to dignitaries from the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), traditional authorities (Nananom), and all stakeholders whose contributions ensured the success of the forum.

The Regional Coordinating Council remains committed to positioning the Western North Region as a prime destination for investment and sustainable economic growth.
