Regional Environmental Health and Sanitation Office embarks on Monitoring Exercise
The Western North Regional Co-ordinating Council’s Environmental Health and Sanitation Office embarked on a monitoring exercise to all the Municipal and District Assemblies in the Region.
The three weeks monitoring exercise by the Regional Office team led by the Regional Environmental Health Officer; Mr. Paul Nutsugah started from 10th and ended on 21st July 2023.
During the visit, the Regional team pays courtesy call on the Municipal and District Chief Executives and their Co-ordinating Directors and other Management Members present, meets all staff of the Environmental Health Class and train them on Kobo Collect application developed by the Western North Regional Environmental Health Office to compliment other sector information system in force, staff were also taking through a newly designed food vendors registration form designed for capture of data and regulatory compliance.
The team also used the opportunity to visit some sanitary sites and infrastructures such as slaughter facilities, final disposal sites, Public Toilets among others
These efforts aims at enhancing Environmental Health and hygiene practices, strengthen technical capabilities of duty bearers, and improve overall Environmental Health and Sanitation Service Delivery in the Western North Region.
