FDA TRAINS SACHET WATER PRODUCERS ON GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES

The Western Regional Office of the Food and Drugs Authority, FDA, on 23rd April 2024, organised Training for Sachet Water Producers in the Suaman and Aowin District on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHPs)

The training was to educate the participants from the various companies on FDA regulations and guidelines for ensuring the safety of the products they bring onto the market.

Mr Albert Ankomah, the Regional Head of the FDA, admonished the manufacturers to ensure they comply with FDA regulations and guidelines and stay away from sanctions by the Authority.

He also said the, FDA will continue with its routine and unannounced inspections at the manufacturing companies to ensure that Sachet water produced for the public is safe for consumption.
